SFP function description

- Dec 18, 2017 -

The SFP MSA defines a 256-byte memory map, standard interface, manufacturer, and other information in the EEPROM that can be accessed at the 8-bit address 10100000X (A0h) via the I ^ 2C interface

Most optical SFP transceivers support the SFF-8472, an industry standard multilateral protocol. According to the SFF-8472 protocol, Digital Diagnostic Monitor (DDM) functionality must be supported. This feature enables end users to detect SFP parameters in real time, For example, the basic five monitoring levels: Temperature, Transceiver Supply Voltage, Tx Bias Current, Tx Power, Rx Power.
